When I first launched this site in 2009, I had some weird desire to build it all inside a fat Flash application that would make everything look all spiffy and groovy. That was all well and nice, but it turned out to be difficult to maintain and it drove me crazy to not be able to give anyone a direct link to a page of images.
After thinking about it for a couple months, I finally decided to rebuild the site as more of a photoblog. The result is what you’re looking at now: a WordPress blog using the NextGen Gallery plugin, all filtered through a somewhat-customized version of the Atahualpa theme. I have no doubt that I will be tweaking it nonstop from this day forward.
